April Update

It suddenly feels like there’s a lot going on! Mid-week racing is back now the evenings are lighter and as the weather is improving it’s more fun playing out.

With this in mind the April sessions will have a little blast of core work (maybe some glutes too), but will have more emphasis on stretch and tension release. When training are life are more full-on we don’t need as much strength work and also need to give ourselves a bit of extra rest and recovery.

There is no Zoom class on Easter Monday, but we do have our monthly Otley Class on Wednesday 3rd.

For anyone doing 3Peaks this year, I will see you there. I’m due to be sweeping the first section from the start to Ribblehead. That gives me time to get back to the finish to give you a cheer – in an annoyingly fresh state with a beer in hand.

Monthly Otley Class

The next Otley Class is on Wednesday 3rd April, 6:00-7:00pm – Otley Scout Hut, Burras Lane.

This class will work on strength/stability, mobility/range of movement and tension release.

Online Zoom Classes

There will be 4 sessions in April (8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th) – You’re welcome to dip in or join for the full block.

Recordings / Recorded Classes

If you can’t make the Monday zoom session or just prefer to do the class at a different time, you can pick up the recording of the class.

Stretch / Recovery Classes – Links are added here each week.

Weekly recorded Stretch/Recovery classes are released on Sunday mornings and available for 7-days.

You can get these week by week or grab the block to get sent them each weekend throughout April.

These sessions are great as active recovery after a long run, to do during the week if you’re feeling stiff or tired or to help relieve tightness.

Blocks

If you’re planning on coming to a class every week or need that extra push to keep you motivated, you can pick up the classes as a block.

April – Core & Stretch Zoom Block – You’ll be sent the Zoom link each week or if you can’t make it, I’ll send the link to the recording after the class. The block includes access to four 60-minute Zoom classes.

April – Class Recordings – Core & Stretch Block – Recordings will be sent out each week after the zoom session and will be available for 7 days. The block includes four 60-minute sessions

April Sunday Stretch Session Block – The link to recorded classes will be sent by 10am on Sunday morning and will be available for 7 days. The block includes four 45-minute sessions.

There will be 4 Recorded Stretch / Recovery sessions – 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th April.

I’ve got an eye on the race calendar and folks getting stuck in to long Sunday runs in mind. Feel free to send me a message if you’re struggling with a tight spot or want to request anything to be included.
