Weekly Update 26/9/23

I do love this time of year! For those who enjoy the fells, it is time to shift to the relays, XC season approaches with the repetition of the mantra “it’s good training” to prepare for the eyeballs-out-ness of it all and of course the joy of glorious sunshine one day and then full wild weather the next. It is definitely a fun time to play out whatever the elements throw at you.

Next Monday will be our penultimate XC prep class – this one will be a flow session combining core & glute strength, balance and stamina. We should get a little warm as the weather is cooling and get a decent S&C yoga session to set us up for the week and the upcoming XC season.

This week’s Sunday Stretch is a recorded one, due to the Hodgson Relays, but I hope to do a Zoom class for the next session on the 8th.

Upcoming Classes

Sunday Stretch – Recorded Class – Sunday 1st October – available from 10am

This is a 45-minute class will have a focus on hips – a mix of gentle stretches and longer held poses to release tension in fascia and ease tightness in the muscles.

Yin / Yang – Live Zoom Class – Monday 2nd October – 6:30pm

This will be the last of this block of XC prep classes with an emphasis on balance and stability. A little more stretch than the last few weeks – this one will have half an hour of stronger stuff, then 30-minutes of stretch/tension release to follow.

Yin / Yang – Class Recording

If you can’t make the Zoom class at 6:30, you can pick up the recording instead.

Have a great week!

Rachel
