Lower Legs, Ankles & Feet

For the next few sessions we will focus on specific target areas. The classes will aim to find balance between stability and mobility – doing strengthen poses to support the joints and lengthening/flexibility to aid range of movement and release tightness that could be restricting movement.

We tend to give more attention to bigger muscles or muscle groups, so this week the focus will be on these smaller, but very hard working areas. While we might give our calves a stretch out from time-to-time, our ankles and feet are often given very little attention in terms of releasing tightness, improving mobility/range of movement, or strengthening. In this class we’ll address that and hopefully improve function and be able to take time to notice what’s going on.
